At first when my state had officially released that we are no longer going to be attending school I was very excited. I thought that I was going to have the time of my life and it would be a quick school year right into what I thought was going to be summer. However, we have to do online classes which I dislike very much. It’s nothing against the assignments or the teachers, it’s just that it’s not nearly the same as attending school. I no longer get to see my friends and it eventually gets very boring doing schoolwork alone without any peers. 

It's nothing like summer because I can’t hang out with friends at all and all the places that my family and I could go to are closed. So, overall, this whole quarantine is a very bad and boring experience for me. I used to think school was okay, but now that it’s gone, I want it back more than ever.

One day, my friends and I decided to walk around town. We were very surprised when we saw a dancer dancing around the streets. She was wearing a red dress and she kept doing lots of spins. We sat there watching her and we were starting to get a little dizzy just from watching her spin. Also, the music that was playing was not in our language, it was in Spanish. The music was blasting in our ears and it was horrible. However, the music did have a good beat in which the dancer could dance to. So, we decided to lay down, and as we lye down, everything starting twisting. All I could see was rapidly twisting clouds in the sky. I started to get quite a bit worried. So, I tried to relax and close my eyes. However, that did not help. The next thing I remember was a police officer shaking me awake. To this day, I do not know what happened to my friends and me that day. So, there is still some suspicion in our minds that that occurrence happened for a reason. However, you cannot tell a story

My Favorite Holiday

          My favorite holiday is very unusual and not a day that everybody considers a holiday. My favorite holiday is Christmas Eve. I love Christmas Eve because of the anticipation for Christmas morning. On Christmas Eve you feel very excited for whats to come the next day. Also, on Christmas Eve nights, my family still sets out cookies because I have a younger sister. So, it brings back lots of memories of the past Christmas's and brings hope for new memories.           Also, another reason why I like Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day itself is because all of my family comes together and celebrates on that day. I go to both of my grandparent's houses to celebrate on Christmas Eve. Also, my Aunt Brooke and cousin Peyton come here to celebrate. They live in the far west side of Iowa and are only 10 minutes away from Nebraska. So, since they are around 7 hours away from where I live, I only get to see them about twice a year, so, I cherish the moments when we are together.
