I was drawn to this photo because it represents where I live and how grateful I am for it. The United States is the land of the free and I am very thankful that I get to have that freedom, because I know some others are not as fortunate to have that. Also, since Veteran's Day is coming up, it reminds me of the brave heroins who fought with their lives for this flag to fly in the air. So in the end, this picture represents a lot about where I'm from and the background behind it. I was drawn to this second picture because it is very aesthetically pleasing. The contrast of the gardening boots to the nature behind has a very delightful look to it. Also, I took this picture when my classmates and I went on a walk. So, it just so happened that these boots were set in that spot by someone else. That is another reason why it's kind of cool, because of how natural they look.                                                       I was drawn to this third and final

Copyright

From the Student Blogging Challenge Website, I learned a lot about copyright. One thing that I was very surprised by was that you can actually get charged for copyright. When I think about getting fined and charged, I think about things like driving over the speed limit and not wearing a seat belt. However, before I read the copyright article, I didn't think twice about taking any image and using it. Little did I know, that I could get into deep trouble by using them. So, now I know not to take random images and simply use them. Although it may seem harmless, there can be consequences for your so "harmless" actions.        Lastly, another thing that I learned was that there are many different options of copyright. Some versions are more lenient then others, however, you still have to be careful with your photo use. As I stated before, I will always think twice when using a Google image, because now I know not to use it carelessly and without caution.

Memes

We have been working with run-on sentences, and different ways to avoid writing them. Our teacher asked us to create different memes: each containing a sentence that shows a different way to avoid run-ons. Each meme's sentence must connect to the meme.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Maliah and I am in 8 th grade. My name is pronounced [Ma-Lie-Uh], lots of people pronounce it incorrectly, so I just thought I should add that little side note. When I first meet others, usually I may come off as mean or rude. However, I promise you I am the complete opposite. I love socializing and talking to others. Although I may seem unapproachable, I know that if I get to know you and vise versa, we will get along just fine! My friends and I always talk about lots of things, including my fears. I am greatly afraid of three things, and I hope you nor I will ever have to experience these things in life!             The first thing that I am greatly afraid of is getting kidnapped. I know it’s super weird, but my friends and I sometimes think about what we would do if one of us got kidnapped. It would be horrific to be kidnapped, so when I am alone, it is always in the back of my mind. The movies about kidnapping, horrid and brutal, are exactly what
